up, on a country lane in the middle of the Volcans d' Auvergne National Park.
South facing, its stone walls built into the hillside, a steep slate roof, the
inside mostly in wood, it is typically Auvergnat.

On a country lane near Condat and adjoining our own home, we have a traditional Auvergnat farmhouse known as a longère. Sleeping 4, it has metre thick stone walls, massive beams, two bedrooms, a shower room, a big living room with fitted kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, big fridge) and a wood burning fire in the old hearth.
