Property Description
Situated between the medieval market town of
Chateaubriant and the vibrant city of Nantes, the cottage is close
to recommended bars and restaurants serving local beef, cheeses and
cider from Brittany and Normandy, seafood from the sandy Atlantic
coast and regional wines and fruit from the Loire valley. Recently
professionally renovated to offer quality accommodation, Ça m’ira
offers a haven for gastronomes, nature lovers and star gazers.
Accommodation details
Our two bedroomed air-conditioned cottage
has been newly, professionally renovated to a high standard. It has
hardwood, double-glazed windows and doors, sympathetically and
individually made to be in keeping with the age of the cottage. It
has also been well insulated and with new electric background
heating and the wood-burning stove, it provides all year round
comfort.
"Ça m’ira" has a well-equipped kitchen, a conservatory, a large,
open plan, living/dining room and a shower room.
The large living area is comfortably furnished with inviting sofas,
bookcases, (with a selection of books, videos and extensive DVD
library) and a built-in entertainment cupboard, offering satellite
TV, VCR and DVD/CD players. There is additional storage in the
antique pine chest of drawers and there is a selection of games
(Monopoly, Scrabble, Petanque, cards and jigsaws etc.) for you to
enjoy.
The double-glazed conservatory provides seating and relaxing space
and looks out to the pergola and garden. “Ça M’ira” is reserved for
non smokers and we regret that we are unable to accommodate pets.
Local area
The local villages of Joue sur Erdre and La
Meilleraye de Bretagne are both a few minutes drive away and in both
villages you will find the village church, bars, restaurants, post
office, a small supermarket, baker and butcher etc. The area is
popular with walkers and cyclists with well marked routes around the
lakes and the lands surrounding the 12th century Cistercian Abbaye
de Melleray. Cycles can be hired locally and can be delivered to the
cottage. The delightful medieval market town of Chateaubriant is
about 20 minutes drive away and here you can find the major
supermarkets

Outside, there is a patio, a south-facing,
lockable, gated garden with barbecue and garden furniture and there
is secure, off-road parking for one car
Rental prices/Changeover day
Prices per week from £175 per week/€260 per
week - £475 per week/€700 per week
Good quality bed linen is supplied.
Change over-day is Saturday, arrivals from 4.30 pm, although if
you're travelling with children, we'll do our utmost to make this
earlier, and departures by 10 am.
Travel times & Directions
Our closest airport is Nantes. Through
experience we have found Ryan Air from East Midlands or Stansted ,
AerArann from Manchester or BA/Air France from Gatwick to offer the
best and most inexpensive options. Rennes, Dinard and Angers
airports also serve our area and car hire is available at all the
airports. We are approximately 6 hours from the ferry port at Calais
and 3-4 hours from Roscoff and Caen.
