Property Description
Tastefully restored, this traditional stone
cottage nestles on the side of the hill. Tranquil views overlooking the Lot
Valley include the ancient 12th century Chateau, Larroque Toirac, and the pretty
stone village of Ambeyrac. From the patios, you can enjoy the sunny
southerly aspect and the magnificent views to the west. Throughout the summer
the area is bustling with different events including music festivals (eg
Africajarc at the end of July), International Fireworks competion (half an hour
away), village Fétes, brocantes and night markets.

Accommodation includes two large bedrooms (1
twin, 1 double) and bathroom with exposed beams and stonework throughout.
Downstairs is open plan with a spacious lounge with seating for 6 and a huge
inglenook fireplace including log burner and radiators (ideal for cozy
autumn/winter breaks). There is a TV and CD player in the lounge. Stonework,
wood and plaster all feature in the delightful kitchen/dining area with south
facing window providing stunning views over the Lot Valley. Linen is provided,
please check with the owner regarding towels. From the patios you can enjoy the sunny
southerly aspect and the magnificent views to the west across the Lot Valley -
ideal for barbeques and generally relaxing! Patio furniture and deckchairs are
provided for your use. Parking space.

Activities nearby include
canoeing on the célé, the Lot, the Tarn and the Aveyron rivers; swimming (public
pools 10 miles, river swimming nearby);horse riding; biking (excellent mountain
biking tracks all around); bird watching; visiting the prehistoric caves at
Lacave, Pech Merle or Foissac and others; enjoying the local villages and
colourfull markets; and of course visiting the better known hilltop and
cliffside towns or Rocamadour, St Cirq Lapopie, Cordes Sur Ciel and Najac to
name but a few. Plenty of local centres offer organised rock climbing and
potholing in addition to the above activities

Rental prices/Changeover day
Prices per week (for two people sharing) £195 - £345, During the months of Nov - March there is a heating surcharge of £25 per week.
Christmas & New Year weeks - £345.
Saturday is change over day. Arrival after 4pm Departure before 10am
Please note that the cottage needs to be left in a clean and tidy condition otherwise we can arrange for it to be cleaned on your behalf for an additional £30 charge

We are located Approximately 8-10 hours from the ferry ports of Calais, Bolougne and Dieppe. Caen and Roscoff are 7-9 hours away (this inlcludes stopping times for lunch etc.) Toulouse airport is 90 mins away while Rodez airport is 50 minutes. Take the train ie 6hrs from Paris to our nearest station at Figeac (20mins away).
