Beautiful spacious 1 bedroomed cottage, with garden & terrace,the garden is very private and is surrounded by vinyards, great walks with spectacular views over the Gironde estuary looking across to the Medoc and its chateaux, Talmont (village Touristique) is 5 minutes away, Meschers Port and beautiful sandy beaches 10minutes, Royan 20 minutes and Saintes 25 minutes, Cognac 40 minutes, La Rochelle 1hr 15minutes, Bordeaux 1hr 10minutes.
Accommodation details
The cottage has a well equiped kitchen, light comfortable and spacious. Upstairs there is an en-suite shower, WC and washbasin. The cottage is a charming newly renovated 1 bedroomed retreat with stone and exposed beams. The bedroom has a king sized electric bed and bedroom furniture in keeping with the style of the cottage. Outside is a table and chairs, bbq and wooden sun beds. The cottage is a non-smoking area. On the terrace you will be able to sit and watch the sun set.
Local area
Cozes is just 8 minutes away where you can find
everything you need, there is a market every wednesday with fresh local
produce. Mortagne sur Gironde, a small local port, has a choice of
restaurants and is only a 5 minutes drive away.
Horse riding ,boat trips, golf & wine tastings can all be arranged for
you.
Other details
For tennis enthusiasts there is a tennis court in the village of Chenac.
Owner has lived in France for 20 year so if you need to know anything, do not
hesitate to ask! maybe over a nice glass of local wine, while watching the sun
setting over the Gironde. The cottage is available on a bed & breakfast basis
out of season for a minimum of 2 nights.
Rental prices/Changeover day
Peak season July/ August £380 pw Off peak £250 pw or per night £60. Bed linen is provided.
The cottage is let from Thursday to Thursday out of season, saturday to saturday high season, with check-in time being after 16:00 and the property is to be vacated by 10.30 hours on day of departure. Thursday is a good day to travel to avoid the weekend volume of traffic, flights and ferries are cheaper and the roads are much quieter than weekends so start your holiday without stress in traffic!! Out of season l can be more flexible about changeover days, please feel free to ask. Long lets are also available on request.

Travel times & Directions
TGV/Eurostar comes into Angouleme, Bordeaux and la Rochelle The closest airports are Bordeaux 1hr 10 mins, La Rochelle 1hr 20 mins, Poitiers at 2 hours and Angouleme at 1 hr 20mins
lf you are thinking of a green holiday and were you to fly in, transfers to and from the airport can be arranged for a reasonable cost. Bike hire can also be arranged and your bikes can be waiting for you at your cottage.
Ferry/ Eurotunnel Calais, 8 Hours driving time
Nearest ferry port is St. Malo at 4 Hours.
