trees, hills and rolling farmland midway between the Lot and Dordogne valleys.
Set in an acre of mature private gardens with barbecue, gazebo and
patio/terrace with outside dining table and chairs.
New salt water swimming pool (10m x 4.5m) with roman end and
underwater lighting, patio and outdoor furniture and sunny patio

kitchen, washing machine. Tumble dryer and fridge freezer. Living
room with SKY satellite freeview channels TV, DVD & CD player,
sofabed and a dining area with seating for up to four people.
Local area
Weekly markets, shops and restaurants can be found in nearby market towns.
Country setting but convenient for A20 autoroute and RN20 giving easy access to
surrounding area including the medieval town of Gourdon and historic Cahors set
within a loop on the river Lot. Domme, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Padirac and the river
Dordogne are a short drive north and equidistant southwards is the unspoilt
valley of the river Lot and the beautiful village of St-Cirq-Lapopie. Excellent
traditional French cuisine at very reasonable prices can be enjoyed in local
restaurants including magret du canard (duck), cassoulet and foie gras along
with local cheeses and superb Cahors wine. Weekly markets, traditional festivals
and fetes are often held in nearby villages and the area is ideal for day trips,
cycling, walking, hiking, canoing, tennis and golf.

£190 - £390. Heating and lighting included. Towels and bed linen
included. Prices may be negotiable for long lets out of season
Changeover is normally Saturday......however arrival/departure days
and times are flexible and negotiable depending on other bookings.
Travel times & Directions
Ecurie Ecosse self catering cottage is
located approximately 10 miles from exit 56 on the A20 motorway.
Channel ports- approx 500 miles/8 hours (easy access via A20
autoroute from Paris). Flydrive airports(miles)- Toulouse(85),
Rodez(75), Bergerac(62) or Limoges(109). (all are between one and
half and 2 hours drive). Brive airport which is due to open in 2008
is approx. 45 minutes away. We can arrange transport to and from
these local airports at a reasonable charge if required.
Use of a car is recommended to enable you to make the most of your
stay.
