47 kms ESE of SARLAT.
We are located between the Lot & Dordogne Rivers, come and discover the peace &
tranquility of Chateau de Lacomte Country Club. Hidden within 32 acres
pf natural parkland, experience total serenity whilst you holiday in the heart
of The Causses of Quercy Regional Natural Park. Facilities for Caravans, Tents,
Trailer-Tents, Motorhomes & American style RV, all pitches are fully serviced.
Our on site accommodation comprises a spacious Gîte, 5 Pine Chalets, & 4 Mobile
Homes. The nearest GOLF course is approximatley 26 kms away. We also have
free WIFI access on site

Gîte - ADULTS ONLY Sleeps 4 -very spacious and comfortable. Ground Floor comprised of :-
Entrance Hall / Downstairs Toilet and Utility Room (with washing machine) Large Kitchen - Dining area, with French Doors leading to the Patio and Garden. The kitchen is well equipped with Oven - Dishwasher, Fridge Freezer, Microwave and many more appliances to make your holiday more enjoyable. There is a spacious lounge with Television & English Satelite system, Video and DVD player.
First Floor comprised of :-
Large Landing Large Bathroom with dressing area, including Bath and Shower. 2 Large Spacious Bedrooms - Main Room / Double King Size bed with view over-looking Swimming Pool 2nd Room / Two singles beds with view over-looking the back garden Bed-linen is supplied. Towels are not supplied. Garden Furniture, Loungers' and a Barbecue are supplied.
Two Bedroom Pine Lodges - Idyllic location & price for Adult Couples. Rentable from 15th May until 11th September (outside of these dates by arrangement)
Be mesmerised by all the various species of Butterflies that seductively dance around the wild flowers, whilst you relax and enjoy your holiday in one of our distinctive Polish Pine Chalets. Nestled within natural beautiful surroundings of woodland glades the Pine Chalets for Adults only are double glazed and insulated offering you peace & comfort.
Each Pine Lodge has a Lounge and well equipped Kitchen/Dining Area. Lodges are equipped with hob/Microwave/Fridge/Toaster & Kettle. (A list of all other items supplied within the Lodge will be sent to you on confirmation of your booking). 2 Bedrooms / Main Bedroom with a Double Bed Second bedroom with Single Beds. There is a Toilet and separate Shower Room. The Chalets are well positioned and do not overlook one another. They have their own seating area and are supplied with garden furniture. Due to fire hazards barbecues are not allowed within the Chalet complex. However Gas Barbecues are allowed should you wish to bring one. They are not a supplied item.

Our Mobile Homes for Adults Only are idyllically located within 32 acres of beautiful Chateau Parkland. The Mobiles all face onto an open meadow where in springtime wild orchids grow freely, & an abundance of butterflies (some of them rare) flutter delciately over the highly scented lavender in the warm rays of sunshine. Each Mobile has its own garden area supplied with garden furniture & barbecue.
The Mobile Homes are an ideal location and price for couples looking for accommodation for two, or two couples sharing. The Mobile Homes have a Lounge/Kitchen-Dining area, equipped with a Fridge, Hob, Microwave & Kettle.
2 Bedrooms - 1 Bedroom with a Double Bed, 1 Bedroom with 2 Singles 1 Shower Room Separate Toilet.
On confirmation of booking a list of items supplied in the Mobile Home will be sent to you. Bed linen - Towels and Pillows are not supplied
We do not accept any pets in our location and there is no Smoking inside any of our accommodation
Local area
Adult Only Camping Château de Lacomté is steeped in French History. The Historical secrets of Lacomté are many, and the main building that today houses the restaurant, bar and reception, has an enormous attic which during the Second World War was used as a hospital and stop over for the Allied Servicemen and Resistance escaping from the Germans, who occupied Carlucet.
We have been told that the original Château (unfortunately just a ruin now) dates back to the times of the Knight's Templars and not too far on the other side of the village there is a building with the remains of a Templars insignia on the wall and also a round stone table and seats can be seen in the grass opposite.
Relax around our superb outdoor swimming pool (23m x 13m,) and soak up the peace and tranquility of our Park with it's fabulous back drop of rural France. No water shutes, no diving boards, no kids, no stress just the sounds of the countryside.
We have live music nights once a week usually with a large Barbecue, the style of music varies according to our guests, from classic French accordian, to jazz, ragtime, blues or rock.
There are plenty of good walks in the immediate vicinity of the site, ideal for both walkers and nature lovers, with many species of rare butterflies, orchids and other wild life.
We are planning a photo competition for 2010 as so many of our guests enjoy capturing these rare sights on camera. There is an all weather Tennis Court (5 €Euros per hour), a Badminton area, Basketball area, and plenty of places to play Boules on site. Deliciously, tempting French Recipes are on offer when you dine in our on-site restaurant Les Etoiles (The Stars). The Gastronomic Delights compliment our Wine list which offers you the true taste & flavour of some of France's best known wines. Dine "Alfresco Style", under beautifully romantic starlit nights, whilst you enjoy a meal freshly prepared for you. Les Etoiles is situtated within the Domaine de Lacomté & is in the area between Labastide-Murat & Gramat, known as the Black Triangle. The area is still almost entirely free of light pollution & on clear moonless nights you can marvel at the beauty of the stars by night, sparkling like diamonds against a deep velvet black sky, the display is dazzling. You can watch the galaxies swinging around the sky, with the Milky Way dominating all the rest. Shooting stars add to the ambiance of your evening during August, as you relax into the night. Views from the Terrace over the swimming pool and enveloping countryside are memorable. Do not forget to count the shooting stars! All this can be very easily summed up - SIMPLY PARADISE IN THE LOT

Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. It may be possible outside
of High Season however to alter arrival and leaving days. Your
accommodation will not be available until after 16.00 hours on the
day of your arrival. The accommodation must be vacated by 10.00 at
the latest on the day of your departure. a SECURITY DEPOSIT of 300
€uros will be required.
Travel times & Directions
We are located Approximately 8-10 hours from
the ferry ports of Calais and Bolougne. Caen and Roscoff are 7-9
hours away (this inlcludes stopping times for lunch etc.) Toulouse,
Rodez, Bergerac and Limoges airports are all within an hour and a
half drive. Brive airport which is due to be opening in July 2010 is
30 minutes away. The nearest mainline train station is located in
Gourdon. Camping Château de Lacomté, along with its accommodation is
an ideal location for your Travel Europe destination. Situated in
the Lot, those of you planning on travelling and caravanning through
Europe, Camping Château de Lacomté is in an idyllic location for
your holiday, or for just a stop-over. Just 10 minutes drive from
the exit 56 off of the A20, in the small picturesque village of
Carlucet, you will be able to pitch up and relax in 32 acres of
beautiful natural parkland, in peace and quiet, allowing all your
stress from driving to just melt away.

From Brive or Cahors exit the A20 at junction 56.
Go straight over the first roundabout, direction Gramat, Figeac,
Labastide Murat.
Take the 3rd exit on the 2nd roundabout toward Gramat (D807).
Take the 3rd turning on your left - direction
Lacomte/Carlucet/Rocamadour.
After approximately 5 kms and once you have been around some gentle
bends, you will see
the site sign on your left. Take the left fork up the hill.
After approx 100 metres the road splits into two, take the left turn
up & around a sharp
left hand bend, following the signs for the Camping & Restuarant Les
Etoiles.
At the 1st crossroads go straight over.
At the 2nd junction bear left.
At the next fork bear left again (Lacomte is approx 1 km from here).
Follow the road straight down to Chateau de Lacomte - do not turn
off to your left
