Property Description
There are 5 golf courses within three quarters of an hour; in
Maché, there is an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts (one indoor), a garage,
boulangerie, tabac, local grocers, church and Mairie. Restaurants abound in the
area offering menus from 50 francs to 400 francs. The nearest supermarket,
hairdresser, bank, newsagent, post office, etc are 5 miles away in Aizenay.
Accommodation details
The flat is in the upper floor of our farmhouse, with outside independent staircase, and contains one large bedroom with kingsize bed that can be split into twin beds, ensuite bathroom, lounge with double sofa bed, ensuite shower room (or storage room if you prefer) and kitchenette. Old oak beams, wooden floors and antique furniture add plenty of character, with views over the Vendéen countryside. A hairdryer and shoe cleaning kit are supplied, and iron can be supplied on request. There is a little kitchenette that has a sink, fridge, microwave, two electric hotplates, small oven, electric kettle.
Local area
An area of the garden is set aside for your
own use, with garden table and chairs, and gas barbecue. On the farm
there is also a small pond and we would be happy to show you around
the game farm if you are interested. Because of the farm, I regret
that we cannot accept other animals.

Rental prices/Changeover day
Prices per week - Mid-June to Mid-September
45 Euros per night, £240/week (350 Euros) - Available as studio flat
at other times at £150/week (220 Euros) plus heating supplement.
Changeover day is Saturday when rented out as studio flat and any
day when rented as the Bed and Breakfast.
Travel times & Directions
The closest
airport is Nantes. Ryan Air from East Midlands
or Stansted , AerArann from Manchester or BA/Air France from Gatwick to offer
the best and most inexpensive options. Rennes, Dinard and Angers airports also
serve the area and car hire is available at all the airports. Motoring time is
approximately 3 hours from St Malo, 4 hours from Caen and 5 hours from
Cherbourg. The railway station at Challans is 15 Kilometres away and La Roche
sur Yon (TGV) is 30 Kilometres. Directions will be provided by the owner upon booking.
