Our local village of Thedirac has a boulangerie and a lovely
church to visit plus Tennis Court for the active amongst you. Catus
has a lake, bars, restaurants and two weekly markets (one of which
is a local producers market). Further afield you can visit all the
beautiful chateaux of the Dordogne, St Cirq Lapopie in the Lot
Valley plus Rocamadour, Valley of the Cele, and the Medieval towns
of Sarlat, Cahors, with it's vinyards which extend for miles and
Gourdon. Cycling is very popular in the area (we had the Tour de
France go past the end of our lane in 2007)and can be quite
challenging. We have some lovely places to walk to direct from the
property, you can even walk to the lake at Catus if you're up for
it! Both rivers have many canoeing routes and river trips or boats
