Forest gite self catering cottage
Property Description
The area is perfect for walking, cycling,
site seeing or just peace and quiet, away from the stresses of
everyday life. There is a Saturday market in the nearest small town,
about 20 mins drive away, which also has Bars/Resturants, Banks and
numerous shops. Ten minutes from the house, there are facilites for
horse riding and swimming in the lake in the summer months.
Accommodation details
Authentic renovated cosy barn with beams,
stone walls, wooden and tiled floors, comfortable lounge area. The
kitchen has a new oven, hob, fridge, washing machine etc. Bathroom
with shower, w.c. and vanity unit. Wooden floored mezzanine bedroom
with authentic stone walls, double bed and bedside tables and
lighting. Own external entrance with small raised terrace area, from
where you can enjoy wonderful views of the forest, countryside,
mountains and sunsets.
Local area
Champagnac le Vieux with its Boulangerie,
small supermarket and bar is only a 40 mins walk away on the forest
paths and a further 10 mins will take you to the swimming lake with
its beach area for a well earned rest. We can supply you with
detailed walks of this area, or you can just relax on your own
terrace or in the tea garden in front of our farmhouse.
Other details
In the winter months, the sports of ski-ing
and snowboarding are available in the surrounding areas, and in the
Autumn we can offer Mushrooming Weekends. We are also "Biker
Friendly" and have secure garage parking for couples arriving on
motorbikes. There is private parking on site. Forest gite is not
suitable for children and is a non smoking accommodation. Well
behaved dogs accepted at owners discretion.
Resident English proprietors on site and we are open all year.
Longer lets available for house hunters and we arrange complimentary
introductions to a local agent

Tarifs include heating and electricity.
Weekend breaks available (2 nights) 1st October to 30 April (not New
Year or Xmas) - 120 euros
New Year Breaks (3 nights) 200 euros.
The supply of bed linen, towels, tea towels, water, electricity and
gas are included in the weekly rental price.
We would request that guests leave the Gite as they find it in a
clean and tidy condition.
Gite front door key can be collected from Le Boucharel Chambre et
Table d’hotes. The Gite is rented on a weekly basis. Arrival
16.00H on a Saturday and departure by 10.00H the following Saturday,
unless staying for additional weeks.
Travel times & Directions
Nearest Airports would be Rodez and Lyon for
budget airlines. Clermont Ferrand for other airlines.
New from 21 May 2011 fly direct from Southampton to Clermont Ferrand
by Flybe. Then take the A75 toll free autoroute for approx 30mins
existing at Junction 20. Another 35 mins and you should be with us.
Train Journey: St Pancras/Paris. Paris/Clermont Ferrand. Then drive
hire car down A75 toll free motorway (south) Exit Junction 20
direction Brioude (see our website for other info).
