Property Description
Studio Les Rossignols is idyllically situated in a peaceful established garden, overlooking a small
lake and a stream and within easy walking distance of the shops, markets and
restaurants of the town of Montmorillon. Montmorillon - La Cite De L'ecrit
- situated on the river Gartempe, is an ideal base for walking, cycling and
birdwatching, or just browsing in the old bookshops of a truly rural French
town.
Accommodation details
The spacious oak beamed Studio Les Rossignols
is a typical rural French dwelling. The comfortable open plan layout of the
ground floor incorporates a lounge dining room and kitchen.
The lounge area has a rustic feel with a wood burning stove in a traditional
fireplace and is supplemented with electric heating. Settees, a dining table and
futon are also located in this area.
This floor also includes a modern kitchen. In this area there is a washing
machine, microwave and electric cooker, although we hope you will be sampling
the excellent local cuisine.
Also on this level is the bathroom, which has a bath with shower over. On the upper level is the mezzanine double bedroom which is
reached by a traditional wooden staircase overlooking the lounge area.
Local area
Amongst the lots of things to see while holidaying in the region,
why not visit The Chateau of Eagles which offers a staggering show of beauty and
boldness in a unique and exceptional medieval setting. Also in the area is the
Parc du Futuroscope. This adventure park allows you leave your own planet and
travel around Planet Futurescope. It is also 60 hectares of leisure space for
everyone to enjoy, with street theatre, exhibitions, relaxation areas, games,
and more, to give you the perfect, fun-filled outing. Alternatively if you
prefer a more relaxing approach, why not hire a traditional horse and cart and
visit places like Angles-sur-l'Angin, which is classed amongst the most
beautiful villages in France. You can also enjoy the waters of la Roche Posay
which have healed and relieved its visitors from all over Europe
Other details
Whilst outside, you can sit on the provided garden
furniture on the sun decking, overlooking the lake while you have a barbecue
(provided).
If you are feeling energetic or need to cool off a little, there is an
indoor/outdoor swimming pool which is a five minute walk from the studio.
Visitors to the studio can also enjoy peace of mind knowing that there is
secure, off-road parking for their vehicles.
Rental prices/Changeover day
Studio Les Rossignols is English owned
and maintained and is available for weekly rentals from May through to October.
prices per week £150 - £250. Saturday is changeover day. Arrival time
no sooner than 4pm departure no later than 11am.
