Formal landscaped gardens and shady oak woodlands surround La Petite Maison. The house overlooks a peaceful, verdant valley and has panoramic views of the beautiful countryside. Guests are guaranteed calm and tranquillity all year round - just perfect for a relaxing short break, a stress-free house-hunting trip or a much-needed, longer holiday.La Petite Maison has its own private garden and is surrounded by 1½ acres of lawns, formal gardens and oak woodlands. Wildlife abounds and nature-lovers will be fascinated by the sheer variety of birds and butterflies to be seen. La Petite Maison's private terrace has garden furniture, a barbecue, charcoal and barbecue equipment for relaxed outside dining. From La Petite Maison's private garden, steps lead up to the pool area. The above-ground swimming pool (9.5m x 4.5m and 1.2m deep throughout) has been landscaped into the hillside and is surrounded by a terrace of wooden decking. The sunny terrace, equipped with sun loungers and parasol, is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing. (NB: the pool is shared with the owners.) Encircling the pool area is a dry-stone wall cascading with colourful shrubs and flowers. An impressive stone pigeonnier - typical of the Tarn and Aveyron - adds to the ambiance of this stylish pool area.

Accommodation details

La Petite Maison accommodates up to two people. It has been imaginatively renovated to a very high standard and has double glazing throughout. Set well away from the main farmhouse, La Petite Maison has its own private garden, terrace and parking area.The well-equipped kitchen has a built-in oven, a hob, a microwave and a fridge-freezer. There is also a washing machine. A Welcome Pack is provided so that guests can make a simple first meal upon arrival. The sitting/dining room has a wood-burning stove, a double sofa bed, a TV/video and a CD/tape player - books, videos and CDs have also been provided. Two glass candle sconces can be lit at night to add to the atmosphere. La Petite Maison has a spacious, modern, bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer, a WC and a handbasin. From the ground floor, a short flight of stairs leads up to a romantic galleried bedroom with a double bed, a wardrobe and a handbasin. From the sitting room, French windows lead out to a covered terrace - the terracotta-tiled roof is supported by rustic oak beams. The terrace overlooks La Petite Maison's private garden, from where steps lead up to the swimming pool and the oak woodlands beyond.

Guests are also welcome to explore the adjoining oak woodlands to escape the heat of the day. Find a cool, shady spot and settle down with a good book and a glass of wine - what could be more perfect?

Prices include: welcome starter pack, electricity, household linen & bathroom towels (please bring your own swimming towels).
Heating & logs: a small extra charge of 50€ per week will be made during the cooler months.
Saturday is changeover day at La petite maison, check-in time after 16:00 and check-out time is on or after 10.00.

Travel times & Directions

La petite maison Margot is located 30 minutes off junction 59 of the A20 motorway. Very detailed directions from the motorway and airports can be found on our website. We are located Approximately 8-10 hours from the ferry ports of Calais and Bolougne.  Caen and Roscoff are 7-9 hours away (this inlcludes stopping times for lunch etc.) Rodez and Toulouse airports are within an hour's drive
