Property Description

This studio cottage is a renovated building set within the courtyard of our longere farmhouse, set within its own grounds of 9 acres, with paddocks, pond, and lovely wooded areas. All on one level with direct access from your car, which can be parked right outside. The farmhouse offers Bed & Breakfast accommodation, plus another luxury gite will be completed for 2011, thus making it suitable to make up a holiday with friends or family, but still have your own space.

Accommodation details

The studio has lounge/diner/kitchen area with fully equipped kitchen, including cooker, hob, microwave, Fridge with small freezer section. There is also english t.v, c.d player and several games for any time you might get bored. There is a bedroom area with 5ft double bed, and separate toilet with basin and separate very efficient shower. Electric heating is available should it get chilly, or for off season lets. Outside there is a patio with table and chairs, loungers, bbq, and a private garden to the rear with another table etc. We have a heated swimming pool and hot tub which is available to all our guests, which is surrounded by patio, with loungers, tables and chairs and is a lovely sun trap and ideal for sitting out, or eating out. there are two bikes available for use at your own risk, the surrounding area is ideal, with beautiful forests and reasonably flat quiet roads.

Local area

We are located between the Le Loir and La Loire rivers and this whole area is one of great natural beauty ( Loire is a unesco heritage site) We are surrounded by many lovely Chateaux to visit, along with the many Loire valley vineyards, ready to offer you tastings at every turn of the road. We have our small village some 2 kms away, with two small restaurants and a boulangerie, and 4 kms down the road is the town of Noyant which has garages, supermarket, pharmacy's, banks , hairdresser, paper shop, post office etc. SO JUST COME ALONG AND ENJOY THE LOVELY LOIRE VALLEY AREA.

The two independant Gites can be used together for Friends and family and could accommodate up to 6 people between them - ALLOWING YOU SEPARATE ACCOMMODATION, BUT HOLIDAYING TOGETHER!

Rental prices/Changeover day

Prices for 2011 are:

Easter to June - £300 per week (inclusive linen,towels, welcome pack)
July & August - £350 per week  (inclusive linen,towels, welcome pack)
September/Oct - £300 per week (inclusive linen,towels, welcome pack)

 Off season - prices by arrangement, special deals for longer lets, ideal for house hunting etc.

Travel times & Directions

Property is 5.5 hours from Calair by road, 3 hours from the port of Caen by road, and about the same from Le Havre. Tours airport is one hour away with flights to London Stansted, and Nantes airport is 1.5 hours away with many flights to the U.K. and europe. It is about half an hour to the nearest auto route. It is possible to get to Saumur by train, using the eurostar to Paris then TGV to Tours and Saumur.
