This recently renovated traditional
honey-coloured Quercy stone gîte, only 100 metres from the Célé River in
Marcilhac-sur-Célé offers a view over the town, medieval abbey and limestone
cliffs.
Le Fournil is a former bakehouse which supplied bread to the local inhabitants.
The breadoven still retains its vaulted roof covered in lauzes (flat stones),
which typifies the architecture of the Quercy region. It has been tastefully
renovated, retaining the charm of the original exposed timbers and stonework to
provide comfortable accommodation for two.
