La P'tite Sablière self catering gite
Description
La P'tite Sablière is, after a completely sympathetic renovation, a totally
independent wing of our home.
Have you had difficulty finding a 'Peaceful and Luxurious' gîte just for two
people? We did when we first started coming over to France some years ago for
holidays. Everything seemed to be too big and when we finally decided to make
our move from England to France on a permanent basis in 2006, there was still
very little to choose from without there being other gîtes around which
would,for obvious reasons, take away that all important
'Peace and Tranquillity'.
Accommodation
It is all on the ground floor level, with only one
step up into the very comfortable living, dining and kitchen room from outside,
and only one step down into the double kingsize bedroom and en-suite shower
room. The kitchen is fully fitted, with separate access to laundry facilities.
For the cooler months of the year there are electric radiators and a very
efficient little woodburner (wood supplied at no extra cost).A King sized double
bed, wardrobe, full length mirror, chest of drawers and a hairdryer.
Bathrooms: En-suite shower room with double basin unit, wc large shower and hot
towel wall mounted radiator. Luxurious bathrobes are provided. The kitchen is a
fully fitted modern kitchen including: gas hob, fan assisted electric oven,
fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, there is a dining table for two
people. There is a separate access to a washing machine in the Utility Room of
the Main House. The sitting room offers satellite TV + DVD player with
comfortable sofa and chair. Double french doors out onto the garden area. Full
Welcome Pack on arrival.
All Towels, including outside pool towels, and Linen are included which are changed once a week.
Outside & External activities
Outside, our 3 acres
of parkland and garden offer several shaded areas and a large pool and terrace
with surrounding views 'to die for! La P'tite Sablière guests have their own
private area in our garden with an outside table and chairs, a BBQ and Garden
Loungers. Easy access to our fenced and gated (10m x 6m) Pool which is 1.25m
deep and the Large Pool Terrace. Our Garden Area has many well established trees
and shrubs and easy parking. We are 45 minutes driving time from the safe and
sandy beaches of St Georges de Didonne and Royan. There are many beautiful
beaches within easy driving of about 1 hour stretching along this part of the
Atlantic coast, from La Rochelle in the north all the way down to the Spanish
border at Biarritz in the south. The most northern and southern points are, of
course, more than 1 hours drive.On the outskirts of Jonzac are Thermal Spa Baths
where many therapeutic treatments are available for various 'aches and pains'! A
swimming complex can also be found at Jonzac known as 'Les Antilles'. Our
nearest town is Montendre (5km) with shops, banks and supermarkets. The Historic
Market town of Jonzac (10km) has all the usual town facilities as well as many
restaurants, bars and cafés - a truly lovely town! There are many lovely
historical towns and cities within 1 to 2 hours drive from our location here in
Rouffignac such as Saintes, Cognac, Royan, La Rochelle, Angôuleme, Bordeaux, St
Emilion and not forgetting the beautiful region of the Dordogne with Bergerac
and beyond!

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
Long Winter Lets are available on request.
All prices include Electricity, Gas and Logs for Woodburner.
There are no hidden extras in the price.
Reservations may be made by email or telephone.
50% to secure your booking and the remaining 50% to be paid 4 weeks before
your holiday begins.
Payment to be made via electronic Bank Transfer (details provided upon
booking).

Car Hire or the Use of a Car is
essential as our location is indeed 'Rural' France!

Availability/Changeover

Changeover day is totally flexible. Arrival time
